The
Clarksburg Lions Club's Board of Directors met December 23rd, Tuesday
evening. One particular topic concerned when to hold meetings. The
attendees' consensus was that evening meetings had not attracted many
members who were not able to attend noon day meetings. Therefore, the
club will return to day time meetings twice a month. Once a schedule
is established with Minards Restaurant, the new schedule will be posted
here, in the January Newsletter, and e-mailed to members. UPDATE: January meetings will be held at noon at Minards on the second and fourth Friday, the 9th & 23rd.
In addition, the nature of the noon day meetings may be changed to a
social hour rather than having guest speakers. It has been difficult
to get program coordinators. If you have someone of interest that you
would want to speak to the club, advise us at
clarksburglions@gmail.com. If you have an idea for a theme for the
meeting, let us know.
Business meetings will be held once a
month in the evening to allow members to attend an evening meeting when
day time is not possible.
